Would you be surprised to find out that the most annoying sound is not the loudest sound?Sound perception and thus noise annoyance is caused by more than just the loudness. Your neighbour's dog barking at 4 a.m. probably is more annoying than the yelling of a sales man at a market. However, most efforts to reduce noise annoyance only take into account the average loudness values of static locations. With your help we can find out what makes your sound environment pleasant, or annoying, and use this information in city planning.
