NoiseTube (“we” or “us” or “our”) is a research project that respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). NoiseTube does not automatically collect any derivative data when you access our mobile app or website.
Geo-Location Information
NoiseTube uses location-based information from your mobile device only while using it to create a noise map. The user location is only used by the Track and Map screen. The former records the current noise level at a particular location. The latter one shows the location of the current measurements or previously saved ones. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.
Mobile Device Access
Our mobile app requests access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s microphone, and location. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.
Use of your information
NoiseTube only uses your personal information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Email you regarding your account.
Disclosure of your information
NoiseTube does not share the information we have collected about you with any other third-party services.
Tracking technologies
NoiseTube does not use any tracking technologies on its mobile app or website.
Security of your information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information
Policy for children
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13.
Options regarding your information
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases.
